Job Summary
Hand Surgeon needed to provide evaluations and comprehensive surgical and non-surgical management of hand and upper-extremity conditions. Role includes outpatient clinic, inpatient consults, emergency call coverage, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. Procedures include fracture fixation, tendon and nerve repairs, arthroplasty, reconstructive procedures, microvascular surgery, and arthroscopy; non-operative care via injections, splinting, and therapy referrals. Works with orthopedic surgeons, plastic surgeons, primary care physicians, occupational/hand therapists, radiologists, and hospital staff. Requires MD/DO with Hand Surgery Fellowship, board certification or eligibility in Orthopedic or Plastic Surgery, active license, CAQ in Hand Surgery or eligibility, and DEA/CDS registration.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
- Completion of a Hand Surgery Fellowship
- Board certified or board eligible in Orthopedic Surgery or Plastic Surgery
- Active state medical license (or ability to obtain)
- Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) in Hand Surgery (or eligibility to obtain)
- Current DEA & CDS registration
