Hand Finisher

Job Summary
Hand Finisher responsible for deburring, sanding, and cleaning parts across aluminum, steel, plastic, and copper per blueprints and instructions. Works with a Lead or Supervisor to achieve required surface finishes using pneumatic or electric finishing tools (orbital sander, DA sander, flappers, die grinders). Requires reading blueprints, tooling instructions, and standard charts; adheres to shop procedures, non-conformance controls, labeling, and documentation. Maintains safety practices, follows environmental, health and safety laws, and supports continuous improvement with limited supervision. Education and experience include HS diploma/GED and 3-5 years finishing experience preferred; vocational education in machine technology or blueprint reading/GD&T preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous finishing experience 3-5 years preferred
- Ability to read and comprehend basic instructions
- Ability to speak basic English
- Basic math and counting skills
- Knowledge of Shop safety practices and use of PPE
- Enrolled in vocational education for machine technology or practical aspects of blueprint reading, GD&T preferred
