Job Summary
Seasonal Halfway House Attendants provide professional, friendly food and beverage service to MGCC members and guests at the Halfway House, including preparing, cooking and serving food and beverage products; maintain security and cleanliness; stock supplies; identify upsell opportunities; handle complaints professionally and escalate to the Executive Chef when needed; ensure proper food handling, rotation and storage, accurate charging of chits and end-of-shift reporting; follow Health & Safety policies and service standards; complete other duties as requested. Ideal candidate has 2+ years of upscale restaurant service experience, completion of an apprenticeship, Smart Serve and Food Safety certifications, advanced cooking skills, and experience in banquet, a-la-carte and catering environments; strong organizational, teamwork and customer-service abilities, with a positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced private-club setting.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years’ experience leading an upscale restaurant service line
- Completion of apprenticeship program
- Smart Serve Certification
- Food Safety Certification
- Advanced cooking skills and techniques
- Experience in banquet, a-la-carte and catering environments
- Experience in a private Club environment is a definite asset
- Proven experience in maintaining high standards of quality and productivity in the kitchen
- Highly organized with a strong focus and commitment to quality
- Teamwork and cooperation to assist others to get the job done
- Work in an efficient manner while managing multiple tasks and priorities
- Flexibility to adapt to changing demands
- Ability to build and maintain excellent relationships with diverse people, including kitchen and dining staff
- Ability to respond quickly to issues and make effective decisions under pressure
