Job Summary
Conduct on-site Halal compliance audits across food production and processing facilities in the United States, evaluating raw materials and processes to ensure adherence to international standards such as JAKIM, MUI, or MUIS. Develop detailed audit reports and collaborate with production teams to provide expertise on Islamic dietary principles. Educate clients on Halal requirements and support continuous improvement of procedures. This project-based engagement requires U.S. citizens or Green Card holders with a Bachelor's degree in relevant fields like Food Science or Chemical Engineering, with the opportunity to receive specialized training in Indonesia to become a certified Lead Auditor.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of Halal standards, Islamic dietary laws, and certification processes
- Experience in food production, quality assurance, or food safety audits
- Strong analytical, observational, and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction and training sessions
- Attention to detail, organization, and the ability to prepare detailed audit reports
- Ability to travel locally and internationally to conduct on-site inspections and audits
- Residing in the United States
- Legal status: U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder
- Minimum education: Bachelor's degree (S1) in a relevant field
- Proficiency in English
