Job Summary
Conduct on-site audits of halal food, pharma, and cosmetic facilities to verify compliance with standards like OIC/SMIIC, GSO, and FSSC 22000. Evaluate documentation, management systems, and corrective actions while communicating findings to clients and providing technical guidance. Prepare detailed audit reports and support the development of audit protocols within certification body teams. This project-based engagement requires frequent travel to domestic and international sites, including remote locations, with flexible hours to accommodate client schedules. Candidates must hold a relevant bachelor's degree and possess in-depth knowledge of halal dietary laws and production requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Pharmacology, Biotechnology, Agriculture, or a related field
- In-depth understanding of halal, halal dietary laws, halal production requirements
- Knowledge of halal and food safety standards (e.g., GSO, OIC/SMIIC, ISO 22000, HACCP, BRC, FSSC 22000, etc.)
- Familiarity with halal production processes, supply chain management, and regulatory requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interactions
- Attention to detail and the ability to work independently
- Proficiency in report writing and documentation
- Ethical and impartial, with a commitment to maintaining the integrity of the certification process
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Frequent travel to client sites, including remote or rural locations
- Flexible working hours to accommodate audit schedules and client needs
Desired Qualifications
- Additional certifications in halal auditing (e.g., lead auditor, FSSC 22000, or equivalent) are highly desirable
