Job Summary
Deliver premium beverages and appetizers to dining outlets, bars, lounges, and open deck areas while garnishing drinks and managing towel service. Clear open decks, stack furniture, and restock bar locations to support the Beverage and Dining teams across all service venues. Educate guests on special cocktails and retail products, monitor intoxicated patrons, and resolve service deficiencies proactively. Maintain a clean, sanitized workspace and equipment, adhering to USPH, HACCP, and safety guidelines while collaborating with galley and restaurant departments.
Required Qualifications
- Must have completed at least one contract HAL shipboard experience in hotel or galley background
- Must have received overall exceed expectation more than twice in one complete contract
- Should not have any active warning or disciplinary actions
- Excellent command of the English Language
- Ability to read, interpret and demonstrate the understanding of standard procedures and policies
- Ability to investigate and solve passengers complains, follows up and meet/exceed guest expectations
- Ability to work positively and cooperatively in a diverse team environment to meet overall established timeframes for the entire bar service operation
- Ability to train and guide assigned waiting staff
- Work successfully as part of the team, while under pressure
- Excellent appearance, self-starter

- Ability to handle food and hot beverages
- Excellent open communication style with all levels of employees
- Ability to communicate tactfully with all levels of management, co-workers and other shipboard employees to resolve problems and negotiate resolutions
- Process information/ merchandise through POS register system
- Must be able to perform regular shifts in outdoor environments such as ship open deck areas and private island destinations
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20kgs
- Must be physically able to participate in emergency life-saving procedures and drills
- Full use/range of motion of arms and legs as well as full visual, verbal and hearing abilities are required to receive and give instructions in the event of an emergency requiring the lowering of a life boat
- Must have a passion for beverages and past experience in food and beverage service
- Ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to questions from guests, supervisors and co-workers
- Basic knowledge of beverage handling procedures with regard to public health standards
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time
- Must successfully pass responsible service of alcohol training within first 7 days of contract
