Job Summary
Perform haircuts, color, highlights, styling, waxing, makeup, and basic manicure/pedicure services while educating clients on proper hair, skin, and nail care. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment by recommending salon products to help clients maintain healthy results. Foster positive relationships with clients and coworkers through excellent customer service and professionalism. This part-time position requires 28 hours per week and is open to faithful members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with a current Utah Cosmetology/Barber License.
Required Qualifications
- A firm commitment to the mission of BYU
- Current Cosmetology/Barber License from the State of Utah
- Strong public relations and customer service skills
- Friendly, approachable, and outgoing personality
- Ability to work flexible hours and as needed
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of current beauty trends and techniques
- Current temple recommend
- Maintain the standards of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as defined by the CES Honor Code and Dress and Grooming Standards
