Job Summary
Assess resident hair and scalp to determine service needs, applying dye or treatments while testing products for allergic reactions. Clean, shampoo, and rinse hair, then massage scalps and provide conditioning treatments for hygienic or remedial purposes. Style hair by cutting, trimming, tapering, blow drying, or using curling irons, and apply products to achieve desired looks. Perform beauty services such as removing unwanted hair and cleaning, shaping, or polishing fingernails upon request. Complete daily cleaning and sanitation practices per community policies and state regulations, while calculating and recording service charges accurately. Work part-time two days per week with flexible hours between 9a-6p, eligible for an on-call bonus of $100 per day.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Graduate of cosmetology school
- Current state license
- Managing cosmetology license within the state
- Prior experience in a senior living setting
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with a wide range of hair textures and length (straight, wavy, curly, coily, long, short, pixie cut, etc.)
