Job Summary
Assess resident hair and scalp to determine the best service course, applying dye or treatments while testing products on skin for allergic reactions. Clean and rinse hair, massage scalps, and style by cutting, trimming, tapering, blow drying, and using curling irons. Apply solutions to achieve desired styles and perform beauty services like removing unwanted hair or cleaning fingernails upon request. Complete daily cleaning and sanitation practices per community policies and state regulations, then calculate and record all service charges accurately. Work part-time two days per week with flexible hours between 9a-6p, earning a $100 on-call bonus for minimum five-hour shifts.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Graduate of cosmetology school
- Current state license
- Managing cosmetology license within the state
- Prior experience in a senior living setting
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with a wide range of hair textures and length (straight, wavy, curly, coily, long, short, pixie cut, etc.)
