Job Summary
Assist licensed colorists and shift leads by executing shampooing, conditioning, blowouts, hot tool styling, and toner services while mastering color theory and behind-the-chair application skills. Contribute to monthly sales goals by driving revenue through retail sales, unlimited roots memberships, and subscriptions. Maintain Hair Color Bar standards for cleanliness, merchandising, and inventory security while fostering a focused work environment. This role supports the path to promotion to Licensed Colorist within 3-9 months for those with an active cosmetology license and strong customer service skills.
Required Qualifications
- Active cosmetology license in the state in which you are applying
- Fluency in English
- Availability at peak times
- Full or part time status depending on business needs
Desired Qualifications
- Entry level experience in any customer service or retail sales environment
- Salon or beauty industry experience
- Effective communication, strong problem solving and people skills, in a fast-paced retail or salon environment
- Comfortable operating point of sale systems
- Willingness to learn and complete the Assistant Colorist to Colorist Training
- Mastering color theory
- Developing behind the chair application skills
