Job Summary
Hair Color Bar Assistant supports Licensed Colorists and Shift Lead to deliver a seamless guest experience from arrival to departure, while learning services and working toward promotion to Licensed Colorist. Responsibilities include assisting with behind-the-chair services (shampooing, conditioning, styling, blowouts, color/treatment/toner applications), conducting color consultations, promoting and selling memberships/subscriptions, maintaining cleanliness and inventory, and contributing to sales goals. The role emphasizes learning color theory, developing application skills, teamwork, and customer service in a fast-paced Madison Reed environment.
Required Qualifications
- Active cosmetology license in the state applying
- Entry level experience in customer service or retail sales
- Effective communication, problem solving and people skills in a fast-paced retail or salon environment
- Comfortable operating point of sale systems
- Fluency in English
