Job Summary
Perform physical and visual inspections of products and plant systems, documenting and calculating results accurately. Execute corrective actions by alerting personnel to adjust processes, identifying and isolating non-conforming products, and reporting findings to management. Handle additional assignments as requested while maintaining strict adherence to food safety and quality standards in a manufacturing environment. This role requires Lock Out Tag Out certification and the ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and overtime.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year experience in the food manufacturing industry OR related Quality Assurance type experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Skills to complete Tyson paperwork
- Ability to lead by example and motivate the hourly workforce
- Good problem identification and problem-solving skills
- Math and organizational skills
- Ability to read and interpret product specifications
- Must function well under stress
- Flexibility to work where and when needed
- Willingness and ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Ability to stand on hard surface for up to 12 hours per day
- Ability to work in cold/hot temperatures typically ranging from 30-90 degrees Fahrenheit
- Ability to work in wet environment
- Ability to climb step ladders and or stairs
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Lock Out Tag Out certification
- Must reside in the United States to be considered
- Willingness and ability to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
