Job Summary
Perform physical and visual inspections of products and plant systems while documenting and calculating results accurately. Execute corrective actions by alerting personnel to adjust processes, identifying and isolating non-conforming products, and reporting findings to management. Handle additional assignments as requested and lead by example to motivate the hourly workforce. This role requires Lock Out Tag Out certification, the ability to work in temperatures ranging from 30-90 degrees Fahrenheit, and lifting materials up to 75 pounds. You must function well under stress and have flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year experience in the food manufacturing industry OR related Quality Assurance type experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must possess skills to complete Tyson paperwork
- Ability to lead by example and motivate the hourly workforce
- Good problem identification and problem-solving skills
- Math and organizational skills
- Ability to read and interpret product specifications
- Must function well under stress
- Must have flexibility to work where and when needed
- Must be willing and able to lift up to 75 lbs
- Must be able to stand on hard surface for up to 12 hours per day
- Must work in cold/hot temperatures typically ranging from 30-90 degrees Fahrenheit
- Must be able to work in wet environment
- Must be able to reach high and low levels frequently
- Ability to climb step ladders and or stairs
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Position will require Lock Out Tag Out certification
- Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
