HABS Commodity Manager

Job Summary
Oversee the Home & Building Solutions Commodity, including Hardware, Lumber, Gas Bar, and Liquor departments, to achieve sales, margin, and profitability targets. Lead Department Managers to ensure effective store operations, prepare annual budgets and operational forecasts, and present business plans to Senior Leadership and the Board of Directors. Analyze market trends to develop merchandising, pricing, and marketing strategies while coordinating local advertising and promotional activities. Monitor inventory levels to maximize sales opportunities and minimize out-of-stock situations, partnering with leadership to execute Customer Experience Management strategies. Coach and mentor Department Managers and Team Members to foster a customer-centric culture.
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Business or a related field
- 8+ years of relevant retail experience with a focus in Home & Building Solutions or related operations
- 4+ years of progressive leadership experience managing teams and business performance
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, inventory management and operational analysis
- Proven ability to lead multiple departments and achieve sales, margin and profitability targets
- Excellent communication, coaching and team development skills
- Experience developing and executing merchandising, marketing and customer service initiatives
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with senior leadership and operational teams
