Job Summary
Support individuals with developmental disabilities in achieving greater independence through daily living skills, community outings, and social engagement. Assist with personal care needs including hygiene, grooming, feeding, and mobility while implementing goal-oriented activities based on each individual's Life Plan. Provide transportation to and from program sites and monitor progress, behaviors, and health updates. Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and families, and attend staff meetings and required training sessions. This role is based in Ossining & Valhalla, NY, with a Monday-Friday schedule and weekends off. Valid NYS driver's license and reliable daily transportation are required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- 2 years of relevant work experience
- A caring, upbeat personality
- A passion for helping others
- Valid NYS driver's license for two years
- An acceptable driving record
- Daily access to reliable transportation
