Job Summary

The H2S Technician operates and maintains Gas Detection Systems and Breathing Air Safety Equipment at drilling rigs or production platforms, ensuring equipment functionality, conducting inspections, and performing maintenance tasks. Key responsibilities include calibrating gas detection systems, conducting safety checks, and maintaining safety equipment. Candidates should have 3 to 6 months of relevant H2S or upstream experience and complete H2S Academy Training. A high school diploma or GED is required.

Required Qualifications

  • 3 – 6 months’ H2S and/or Upstream experience
  • Successfully complete H2S Academy Training, including H2S Training, SAFE GULF or SAFE LAND
  • State and OSHA regulations training

Desired Qualifications

  • First aid responder training preferred
  • Customer Service skills training
  • Trained to complete site inspections using SMART Inspections program
