H17 Tubing Fabrication & Assembly (2nd Shift)

Job Summary
Set up and operate manufacturing tools including orbital welders, forming, cutting, and brazing equipment to produce hardware meeting close tolerance requirements. Conduct mechanical and visual inspections using precision gages and fixtures to verify tolerances, while managing nonconforming products through the Preliminary Review quality process. Maintain a safe, efficient work area adhering to 5S principles and support production flow by troubleshooting machinery issues and performing routine maintenance. Interpret blueprints and engineering specifications to plan operations accurately, ensuring all activities align with safety standards and continuous improvement goals.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma/GED
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in a technically related field such as manufacturing, fabrication, or mechanical engineering
- Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree in a technically related field such as manufacturing, fabrication, or mechanical engineering
- At least 18 years of age
- Ability to prove status of a U.S. Person (U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, asylee, or refugee)
- Successfully complete a drug screen
- Ability to work shifts beyond a standard workweek
Desired Qualifications
- Possess a technical certification in a relevant field (i.e. aerospace engineering, mechanical systems, etc.)
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles, including waste reduction, process optimization, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Exhibits excellent communication skills
