Job Summary
Varsity and junior varsity baseball coach responsible for the overall supervision of the program, assigning duties to assistant coaches, planning and scheduling practices, maintaining equipment inventory, preparing an annual program report, ensuring eligibility requirements, coordinating transportation, and promoting sportsmanship and good public relations within the school and community. Works with the Athletic Director to schedule interscholastic contests, monitors safety, and communicates with local media. Requires leadership, planning, and the ability to develop players and staff across both varsity and junior varsity levels.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Coaching experience at junior varsity and varsity levels preferred
- Ability to supervise and plan practices and competitions
- Knowledge of athletic scheduling, transportation coordination, and equipment management
- Commitment to academics and athletics balance
- Ability to promote sportsmanship and positive public relations
- Familiarity with KHSAA eligibility rules
