Job Summary
Gynecologic Surgeon needed to perform a high volume of vaginal surgical procedures (e.g., vaginal hysterectomy, pelvic organ prolapse repairs) and manage benign gynecologic conditions. Responsibilities include pre/postoperative care, diagnostic evaluations (pelvic exams, imaging), and employing minimally invasive techniques prioritizing vaginal approaches when appropriate. Collaborate with urogynecology, urology, colorectal surgery, and primary care teams; educate OB/GYN residents and medical students; participate in quality improvement and evidence-based practice; support academic teaching and mentorship of residents/fellows; outpatient obstetric clinic components. The role combines outpatient clinic time with operating room duties at Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, NJ with a base salary in the disclosed range and relocation support.
Required Qualifications
- BC/BE by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Demonstrated proficiency in vaginal surgical techniques (case logs will be required)
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of New Jersey
- Experience teaching/academic medicine (preferred)
- Interest in clinical research or surgical outcomes improvement (preferred)
- Advanced expertise in complex vaginal and reconstructive procedures-demonstrated (preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to educate OB/GYN residents and medical students
- Ability to collaborate with urogynecology, urology, colorectal surgery, and primary care teams
