Job Summary
Gynecologic Surgeon expected to perform a high-volume of vaginal surgical procedures (e.g., vaginal hysterectomy, pelvic organ prolapse repairs) and manage benign gynecologic conditions with a focus on vaginal approaches. Role includes preoperative and postoperative care, diagnostic evaluations, minimally invasive techniques when appropriate, and coordination with urogynecology, urology, colorectal surgery, and primary care teams. Responsibilities also include teaching OB/GYN residents and medical students, contributing to quality improvement, and mentoring trainees. Outpatient obstetric clinic and operating room time are included in the schedule; compensation includes a base salary with relocation reimbursement and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- BC/BE by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Demonstrated proficiency in vaginal surgical techniques (case logs required)
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of New Jersey
- Experience in teaching or academic medicine (preferred)
- Interest in clinical research or surgical outcomes improvement (preferred)
- Advanced expertise in reconstructive vaginal procedures (preferred)
