Job Summary
Gynecologic Surgeon with a focus on vaginal surgical approaches to benign gynecologic conditions at Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center. Responsibilities include performing high-volume vaginal procedures (e.g., vaginal hysterectomy, pelvic organ prolapse repairs, native tissue repairs), evaluating and managing gynecologic conditions requiring intervention (prolapse, incontinence in collaboration with subspecialists, abnormal uterine bleeding, benign pelvic masses), delivering comprehensive preoperative and postoperative care, conducting diagnostic evaluations (pelvic exams, imaging, office-based procedures), prioritizing minimally invasive vaginal techniques when appropriate, collaborating with urogynecology/urology/colorectal surgery and primary care teams for multidisciplinary care, and educating OB/GYN residents and medical students on surgical options, risks, benefits, and outcomes. The role includes outpatient obstetric clinic activities and daytime OR/clinic coverage, with opportunities for teaching, mentorship, and participation in quality-improvement initiatives within a large non-profit health system. Salary base range is $300,000–$325,000, with robust benefits and relocation reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- BC/BE by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Demonstrated proficiency in vaginal surgical techniques
- Advanced expertise in complex vaginal and reconstructive procedures (preferred)
- Experience in teaching or academic medicine (preferred)
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of New Jersey
