Job Summary
The University of Vermont Health is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to support a comprehensive gynecologic surgical oncology service, caring for patients with benign and malignant conditions. Responsibilities include serving as Surgical First Assist, managing postoperative care, evaluating patients in outpatient settings, and contributing to education of medical students and residents. Candidates should possess a Master’s degree and relevant certifications. Two years of clinical experience is preferred, with an emphasis on surgical and oncology experience.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree
- Current (or eligible) certification to practice as an APRN or PA from the VT State Board of Nursing or Medical Practice
- Completion of an accredited APRN or PA educational program
- Current certification by the NCCPA for PAs or ANCC for NPs
- Active RNFA desired or willingness/ability to obtain within one year of hire
Desired Qualifications
- Oncology and/or chemotherapy treatment experience
- Surgical First Assist and robotic surgery experience
