Job Summary
Plan and execute high-quality gymnastics classes for youth participants of various ages and skill levels, providing clear instruction, demonstrations, and feedback to improve technique. Ensure participant safety by enforcing proper spotting techniques, equipment usage, and facility rules while fostering an inclusive learning environment. Communicate effectively with participants, parents, and colleagues to provide updates and support as needed. Assist with program promotion, recruitment, and retention efforts to drive participation and engagement. Part-time positions offer flexible scheduling with evening and weekend availability required based on program needs.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience coaching or teaching gymnastics, American Ninja Warrior, parkour, or related disciplines
- Strong knowledge of gymnastics, American Ninja Warrior, or parkour techniques, terminology, and safety guidelines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with participants of all ages and backgrounds
- Current certification in CPR, First Aid, and relevant coaching certifications
- Passion for health, wellness, and community engagement, with a commitment to the YMCA's mission and values
- Evening and weekend availability
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience coaching or teaching gymnastics, American Ninja Warrior, parkour, or related disciplines (preferred)
- Current certification in CPR, First Aid, and relevant coaching certifications (preferred but not required - we will provide)
