Job Summary
Instruct gymnastics lessons in accordance with PDHP's curriculum, teaching skills essential for athlete development while understanding skill levels to ensure progressive and safe instruction. Maintain accurate attendance and progress reports, and respond appropriately to participant and facility emergencies by completing accident/incident logs. Possess knowledge of gymnastics skills and progressions and proper apparatus execution, and attend all informational staff meetings. Follow all Park District policies and procedures while performing other assigned duties. Occasional weekend hours are required during meet season (January-April), with evening hours Monday through Thursday from September to May.
Required Qualifications
- Must have some gymnastics experience
- Occasional weekend hours are required during meet season (January-April)
- Evening hours required Mon-Thurs
- Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- American Red Cross CPR/AED (as needed)
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to respond quickly and accurately
