Gymnastics Instructor

Job Summary

Required Qualifications

• •American Red Cross CPR/AED (as needed)
• •Less than high school education
• •up to one-month related experience or training
• •equivalent combination of education and experience
• •Possess knowledge of gymnastics skills and progressions and proper apparatus execution
• •Attend all informational staff meetings
• •Maintain accurate attendance and progress reports as required
• •Respond appropriately and in a timely manner to participant and facility emergencies, including completion of accident/incident or minor injury log
• •Follow all Park District policies and procedures
• •Performs other Park District-related duties as assigned
• •While performing the duties of the job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; and sit; bend; twist; squat; use hands to finger, handle, grasp manipulate or feel; reach push or pull with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk, see and hear
• •The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• •Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
• •Must be able to respond quickly and accurately
• •The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
