Job Summary
The Gymnastics Coach at Kettle Moraine YMCA is responsible for instructing participants, overseeing safety, and understanding individual needs. Responsibilities include coaching students in groups and individually, observing practice and competition for improvement, enforcing safety procedures, managing time effectively, and communicating professionally with participants and their parents. Candidates should have a practical understanding of gymnastics techniques and the ability to coach upper-level gymnasts. Availability for evening and weekend work is required.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 15 years of age
- Availability to work evenings and weekends
- Ability to interact with kids at their cognitive level
- Must be able to instruct, coach and spot gymnasts
- Must pass annual Bloodborne Pathogens/Child Abuse Prevention training
Desired Qualifications
- Practical understanding of gymnastics competitions
- Teaching techniques for gymnastics
- Ability to evaluate participant performance
- Experience in coaching upper-level gymnasts
