Job Summary
Plan and lead engaging gymnastics training sessions tailored to different skill levels, teaching fundamental skills, techniques, and routines in a safe and encouraging manner. Ensure all coaching follows Gymnastics Australia safety guidelines and best practices while providing constructive feedback to help athletes improve. Monitor progress and adapt training plans to individual needs, fostering a positive environment where gymnasts feel supported. Assist with competitions, events, and showcases as needed. This role requires previous coaching experience, Gymnastics Australia accreditation, and a Working with Children Check. Casual employment with an indicative pay range of $16-$40/hour.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience coaching gymnastics, preferably in a club or school setting
- Gymnastics Australia accreditation (or willingness to obtain)
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- First Aid/CPR certification
- Strong communication skills
- A patient, encouraging coaching style
- Ability to work well with gymnasts of all ages and skill levels
- A passion for gymnastics and helping young athletes grow in confidence and ability
