Job Summary
Provide a safe, encouraging environment for members to learn progressive or competitive gymnastics skills while actively supervising participants and managing behavior through collaborative approaches with parents. Arrive 15 minutes early to set up equipment, then evaluate program skills, complete progress and incident reports, communicate with parents, and take attendance. Assist in teaching techniques and character development in accordance with YMCA standards while attending required staff meetings and trainings.
Required Qualifications
- 18+ years of age
- 3-5 years of experience in gymnastics setting
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication skills
- Enjoyment from working with children
- Desire to keep positive relationships with their parents
- Wear proper attire in accordance with YMCA standards
- Manage participant behavior using collaborative approach with supervision and parents
- Follow approved positive support techniques to develop and refine gymnast's skills
- Attend staff meetings and trainings as required
Desired Qualifications
- USAG Safety Certification Preferred
