Job Summary
Design and deliver age-appropriate gymnastics programs from early years through senior students, teaching foundational to advanced skills across floor, vault, balance beam, uneven bars, and apparatus. Progressively develop students from basic motor skills to competitive routines, preparing them for inter-school, district, state, national, and international competitions including Olympic-level pathways. Implement safe training methodologies, ensure strict adherence to child safeguarding and injury prevention, and maintain equipment for hygiene compliance. Provide individualized feedback, track performance records, and foster confidence, discipline, and resilience. Collaborate with PE teachers to integrate gymnastics into the broader curriculum and organize workshops, festivals, and parent showcases.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Certificate in Gymnastics Coaching, Sports Science, Physical Education, or related field
- Minimum 5+ years of gymnastics coaching experience in schools, academies, or training centers
- Experience working with children and adolescents across multiple age groups
- Strong technical knowledge of gymnastics disciplines, skill progressions, and pedagogy
- Knowledge of sports science, conditioning, flexibility, strength, injury prevention, and recovery
- Experience mentoring and training assistant coaches and junior staff
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and child engagement skills
- High levels of professionalism, emotional intelligence, patience, and cultural sensitivity
- Commitment to safety, ethics, inclusive education, and child safeguarding
- Ability to innovate and develop long-term, progressive, and child-centred gymnastics programs
- Ability to track KPIs including student participation, retention, skill progression, and competition performance
- Willingness to adapt to Indian school culture, relocate, and work within regulatory requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (B.P.Ed/M.P.Ed)
- International coaching certification (FIG or recognized national federations)
- Experience in competitive or structured gymnastics programs
- Proven track record in developing gymnasts for national or international competitions
