GxP Lab Computing Analyst

Job Summary
Provide technical support for customer laboratory environments integrating computers with instrumentation, managing equipment installation, retirement, and relocation. Implement Windows-based security, ensure adherence to corporate policies through reporting, and act as the technical support contact for field service engineers and external vendors. Deliver subject matter expertise for new system validation and change management while documenting procedures, troubleshooting, and best practices. Maintain physical inventories of lab equipment, software, and systems, and perform scheduled preventative maintenance. Requires regular presence at client sites in the Austin, TX area with no relocation assistance.
Required Qualifications
- Regular presence at client sites in the Austin, TX area
- Not eligible for relocation assistance
- Bachelor of Science in computer science, life science or equivalent industry experience
- 3+ years of relevant technical experience including Windows technologies, networking, remote computing and backup systems
- Excellent customer service skills complemented by an ability to listen to and interpret client requests
- Ability to troubleshoot complex instrument and technology issues
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to identify, track and complete tasks for multiple projects
- Knowledge of laboratory safety practices as defined by the company and/or customer's site safety code
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with virtual machine support (preferred)
- Experience with scientific instrumentation (preferred)
