Job Summary

Conduct anesthesia care under the direction of licensed anesthesiologists within the anesthesia care team environment. Implement anesthesia care plans, perform advanced patient monitoring, and operate a wide variety of equipment for perioperative or operating room care. Maintain confidential records, adhere to facility policies, and demonstrate competency in clinical responsibilities for the patient population served. Requires current active Georgia licensure, a Master's degree in Anesthesia, and insurability for required malpractice limits. Work hours are 7AM-7PM.

Required Qualifications

  • Holds current active state licensure as an Anesthesiologist Assistant in the state of Georgia and complies with any applicable state statutory and regulatory requirements concerning CAA's
  • Graduate of a Master's degree in Anesthesia
  • Insurable by an appropriate medical malpractice insurer for the limits required by this institution or state
  • Demonstrates current competency in the clinical responsibilities
  • Ability to perform clinically as an anesthetist in the facility setting on a regular basis
  • Ability to operate, use, and interpret data from a wide variety of equipment to perform anesthesia care as well as necessary perioperative or operating room care to support the safety and wellbeing of the patient while they are under the direct care of the CAA
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patient population(s) served
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and ability to assess data reflective of the patient's requirements relative to his or her population-specific and age specific needs
  • Knowledge of infection prevention and control techniques
  • Ability to maintain confidential records
  • Ability to implement and adhere to facility policies and procedures

Desired Qualifications

  • One (1) year experience
  • Certified by National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants (NCCAA)
