Job Summary
Set up, operate, and monitor Gundrill machines to produce high-precision tooling components while reading engineering CAD designs and verifying dimensions with precision measuring instruments. Perform in-process and final inspections to ensure parts meet exact specifications, select and maintain cutting tools, and troubleshoot machining issues by communicating concerns to team members. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment following lean manufacturing practices and customer specifications. This role requires a high school diploma, 2-5 years of machining experience, and familiarity with Fanuc and Heidenhain-controlled CNC machines. Located at Lakeshore or Windsor, Ontario, with a competitive hourly wage of $24.00–$32.00.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-5 years of machining experience
- Experience setting up and operating gundrilling equipment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and work instructions
- Strong understanding of machining practices, tooling, machine setups, and inspection techniques
- Experience using precision measuring instruments, including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and indicators
