Job Summary
Greet and assist customers in finding merchandise, making buying decisions, and promoting Bass Pro Shops/Cabela's programs. Identify and evaluate customer needs to recommend firearms, scopes, and outdoor products while maintaining knowledge of hunting trends. Uphold visual presentation standards by managing in-store signage, restocking, remerchandising, and floor maintenance. Respond to customer issues using good judgment within job scope and assist in other store areas as business dictates. Requires a Restricted and Non-Restricted Possession and Acquisition License. Starting pay is $18.50 to $21.25.
Required Qualifications
- A Restricted and Non-Restricted Possession and Acquisition License
- Ability to evaluate customers' needs and make recommendations based on needs
- Ability to provide superior customer service and exceed customer's expectations
- Ability to use good judgment and logic
- Experience in a related field or outdoor lifestyle
Desired Qualifications
- One or more years' experience in a sales or service environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of various makes and models of firearms and scopes
- An understanding of the concepts and practices of hunting and related activities
- Knowledge of Bass Pro Shops/ Cabela's specific products
- Demonstrate a passion for the outdoors
- Maintaining knowledge of trends and emerging technologies that relate to the outdoor lifestyle
