Job Summary
GUN COUNTER OUTFITTER at Bass Pro Shops/Bass Pro Shops & Cabela’s in Barrie, ON, Canada. Provide legendary customer service by greeting customers, identifying needs, and recommending firearms-related merchandise (including scopes) while ensuring compliance with provincial, federal, and company firearm regulations. Maintain knowledge of firearms makes/models and hunting-related activities; promote in-store programs and ensure attractive product presentation and floor maintenance. Respond to customer issues with sound judgment; stay current on outdoor lifestyle trends and technologies. May assist in other store areas as needed. Starting pay ranges from $18.50 to $21.25 per hour, with benefits and opportunities for career advancement.
Required Qualifications
- One or more years’ experience in a sales or service environment is preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- A Restricted and Non-Restricted Possession and Acquisition License is required
- Ability to evaluate customers’ needs and make recommendations based on needs
- Ability to provide superior customer service and exceed customer’s expectations
- Knowledge of Bass Pro Shops/ Cabela’s specific products is an asset
