Job Summary
Receive, examine, and record guns and bows presented by customers for repair or purchase to determine malfunction causes or resale safety. Unpack equipment, disassemble components using hand tools, and measure dimensions with gauges to detect issues. Test-fire guns and bows to evaluate performance, including loading, ejection mechanisms, accuracy, and string/cam alignment. Prepare repair orders, replace worn parts, and verify repairs before delivering invoices to customers or shipping. Determine liability for malfunctions and file transaction records. Maintain health and safety standards by following all policies and reporting unsafe conditions. Requires 5+ years of experience in firearms and archery sales and service, including scope mounting, bore sighting, and bow tuning.
