Gulf Coast Industrial Operations Manager

Job Summary
Plan, estimate, schedule, and control complex industrial operations for shipboard and shop work while managing diverse teams of technicians. Supervise personnel on US Navy ships and in facilities, prioritize workloads, and adjust staffing to meet project commitments. Maintain training records, certifications, and safety, quality, and security policies; track equipment calibration and inventory accountability. Collaborate with Program Managers, Superintendents, and QA to generate weekly reports, Plan of Action and Milestones, and Test and Inspection Plans. Lead project reviews with customers to discuss cost, schedule, and performance, and assist in developing proposals and quotes. Manage company facilities, warehouse operations, and customer relationships to drive continuous improvement and secure future work opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Program or Project Manager with a minimum of 15 years relevant experience working in ship repair industry
- minimum of 10 years prior experience in the private maritime industry
- leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills necessary to create and maintain healthy, thriving, dependable, and compliant work environments
- familiar with NAVSEA Standard Items and ABS standards
- ability to read, comprehend, and translate detailed and complicated customer work items, requirements, specifications, references, drawings, and wiring diagrams
- excellent written and oral communication skills
- proficient in paperwork and all Microsoft Office suite of applications
- US citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
- Active DoD Secret security clearance
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures in U.S. Navy ship design, production, test, operations, maintenance, and modernization
- Experience in marine electrical systems installations, maintenance, and repair
- Experience in defense aerospace materials/composites
- Lean Six Sigma certification
