Guidance Navigation Control (GNC) Engineer - Level 2/3
$91,800–$137,600 year
On-siteRedondo Beach, California, United States
Job Summary
Translate mission objectives into clear GNC requirements and collaborate on trade studies to select sensors, actuators, and algorithm architectures. Develop and validate high-fidelity 3-DOF/6-DOF models for attitude, ephemeris, and line-of-sight dynamics while designing, implementing, and verifying GNC algorithms including trackers, filters, and controllers. Build, test, and integrate software and simulation tools to support reliable space vehicle and payload operations throughout flight. Perform kinematics and dynamics analyses to contribute to early-stage conceptual design and conduct complex actuator/sensor sizing and selection. Obtain a U.S. Government security clearance and utilize MATLAB/Simulink or C/C++.
