Guidance, Navigation & Control (GNC) Engineer

Job Summary
Design, implement, document and validate GNC (guidance, navigation and control) algorithms for fixed-wing UAVs; perform simulations, ground tests and flight tests; lead development from design to production; collaborate with mechanical, software and hardware teams to ensure proper integration; contribute to sensor integration and calibration (IMU, GNSS, pressure sensor, range finder); develop and refine algorithms in C++ (and Python) including Kalman filtering, path planning, guidance and control laws; prepare specifications, presentations and reports for design reviews; support autopilot, object recognition and visual navigation discussions with the team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics, robotics, aerospace or related field
- 2 years industry or postgraduate experience in sensor fusion algorithms
- Kalman filtering
- Flight planning
- Control law design
- Knowledge of a programming language
- Strong knowledge in applied mathematics
