Job Summary
Define Guidance, Navigation and Control mission requirements and ensure traceability from system to component levels. Develop and refine complex, nonlinear, six-degree-of-freedom simulation models using multidisciplinary data and languages like C, C++, and FORTRAN. Design flight control laws with modern linear techniques, perform nonlinear analysis, and validate models against test data to inform simulation accuracy. Develop supplementary controllers and signal shaping, then integrate control laws into operational flight programs through desktop, software, and real-time simulations. Support hardware-in-the-loop development, flight testing planning, and execution while leading design reviews and training others. This role supports the Air Dominance portfolio including F-15, F/A-18, and MQ-25 aircraft.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- 5+ years work-related experience with a Bachelors degree OR an equivalent combination of work-related experience and technical education
- 3+ years of experience with Guidance Navigation and Control engineering
- Experience using Matlab/Simulink or MatrixX to model systems
- Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance or higher
- Experience with simulation, system and component modeling
- Experience with implementing algorithms in real time systems
- Hardware in the Loop Simulator (HILS) experience
- Prior experience in flight test support
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship
