Job Summary
Develop, integrate, and test embedded tactical missile flight code while defining and executing system-level performance studies to inform new capabilities or address obsolescence. Work within an agile framework to lead backlog development, plans, and metrics, supporting missile performance analysis through model development, system optimization, and Monte Carlo assessments with expected system disturbances. Collaborate with an integrated product team on tactical embedded software, firmware, and integrated flight software for six Degrees-of-Freedom simulations to achieve overall system performance requirements. This onsite summer 2027 internship at RTX's Effectors PG&C Center in Tucson, AZ, supports execution of current and upcoming missile programs for U.S. defense missions.
Required Qualifications
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance
- U.S. citizenship
- DoD Clearance: Secret Security Clearance
- Active and existing security clearance on day 1
- Pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Mathematics, Physics, or Electrical, Aerospace Engineering
- Actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session
- Minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co-op session
- Prior RTX internship experience

- Ability to balance multiple concurrent priorities with overlapping deadline in an Agile environment
