GUIDANCE COUNSELOR

Guidance Counselor position at Beecher High School tasked with registering and orienting students, assisting with course and subject selection, interpreting standardized test results for planning, maintaining confidentiality of student records, supporting college applications and financial aid, organizing career conferences and informational sessions with college/armed forces reps, updating course descriptions and enrollment forms, and conducting regular counseling sessions across grade levels to promote student growth and reduce dropout risk. The role requires a Michigan Guidance and Counseling Certificate with NT endorsement, a Master’s Degree in educational guidance or related fields, and at least two years of paid high school guidance experience. The employee must pass reference checks and fingerprinting and will work under BEA guidelines with annual salary as determined by the BEA Collective Bargaining Agreement.
