Job Summary
Provide individual and group counseling to students addressing academic, social-emotional, and behavioral needs. Develop and implement comprehensive counseling programs aligned with state standards and best practices. Support teachers and staff in addressing student behavioral and emotional concerns while collaborating with parents and guardians to support student success. Conduct crisis intervention and provide appropriate referrals when necessary. Maintain accurate and confidential student records, including progress reports and intervention plans. Lead social-emotional learning initiatives and school-wide programs. Participate in professional development and contribute to the school's continuous improvement efforts. Work full-time on a standard school calendar primarily in a classroom and office environment.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in School Counseling or related field
- Current Tennessee School Counselor License or eligibility for licensure
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred
