Job Summary
Guest Support Services at a Boston hospital provides information desk reception, answers phones, greets visitors, and issues passes. Responsibilities include locating admitted patients in the system, directing visitors to appropriate locations, providing ED visitor passes, using IDX/IBEX SDK Patient Locater and Physician Locator tools, coordinating with ED and inpatient staff, arranging interpreter services (including TTY/TDD and language interpretation), maintaining patient confidentiality per HIPAA, and supporting various administrative duties such as documenting incidents, organizing work spaces, and assisting with courier and transport coordination. Requires strong customer service, data entry, and familiarity with hospital policies; education level preferred is high school, with 1-2 years of experience or equivalent preferred. Schedule is part-time (16 hours per week, Sat/Sun 7am-3:30pm). Knowledge of and ability to communicate with patients/visitors, including those with limited English proficiency, and ability to work with various hospital information systems are essential.
Required Qualifications
