Job Summary
Serve as the primary point of contact for guests, visitors, and community partners while managing front desk activities, check-ins, and documentation. Provide clear information about shelter rules, schedules, and available services, then respond to guest questions, concerns, and conflicts in a calm, solution-focused manner. Monitor the facility to ensure a safe environment, enforce policies consistently, de-escalate conflicts, and conduct routine walkthroughs of guest activity. Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and shift notes, coordinate communication between shifts, and support daily routines including meal times and curfews. Collaborate with staff and leadership, communicate observations regarding guest behavior, and participate in team meetings and training. Requires a valid driver's license to transport guests.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in customer service, human services, or a related field
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress situations
- Basic computer and documentation skills
- Valid driver's license required to assist in transporting guests
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in a shelter, residential program, or similar environment
