Job Summary
Execute prompt, courteous, and accurate guest check-ins and check-outs while addressing questions about rooms and rates. Maintain room security through effective key control, answer telephones, and respond to reservation requests. Communicate with other departments to ensure proper handling of guests and groups, and follow room inventory and monetary controls. Handle cash, make change, and balance an assigned house bank by counting all payment methods at the end of the shift to verify and balance. Address guest compliments or complaints and take necessary action. Work up to 25 hours per week with varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.

- Ability to address questions or problems about Hotel rooms and rates
- Ability to maintain room security by providing effective key control
- Ability to answer telephones and respond appropriately to requests
- Ability to respond to guest reservation requests
- Ability to communicate with other departments
- Ability to follow room inventory and monetary controls
- Ability to handle cash, make change, and balance an assigned house bank
- Ability to count cash and other methods of payment at the end of the shift to verify and balance the house bank
- Ability to handle guest compliments or complaints and take action deemed necessary
- Ability to assist other associates where needed
- Ability to use computer equipment and operate office equipment, such as telephones, copiers, fax machines, and various computer programs
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to effectively communicate with the public and other team members daily
- Positive interpersonal skills with focused attention to guest needs and varied business contacts
- Availability for varied and flexible shifts/days, likely to include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime
