Job Summary
Greet guests, seat patrons, scan tickets, distribute playbills, and direct visitors to bars, theater doors, restrooms, or other areas while demonstrating thorough knowledge of building information, concessions, merchandise, and local area details. Maintain a positive demeanor, respond to guest concerns professionally, and attend all pre-show meetings to coordinate intermission activities and eliminate distractions. Assist with leading volunteers, maintain theater and lobby cleanliness before and after events, and monitor areas for safety hazards while adhering to Dr. Phillips Center safety procedures. Interact respectfully with guests with disabilities, complete required training in Life Safety, Crowd Management, and ADA protocols, and support all operational policies and procedures. Work quickly as a team to uphold guest service standards in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One-year experience providing high-touch guest service
- Ability to maintain high standards in guest service when/while interacting with a diverse audience
- Strong ability to adapt to change, work effectively under pressure, and produce accurate results in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication skills
- Able to quickly assess and resolve guest concerns
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Must be available for three shifts per week, with at least one of those shifts being on a weekend day
- This position requires the ability to work a variable schedule, evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet operational needs
- Dr. Phillips Center participates in an employment electronic eligibility verification program through E-Verify
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with theater seating and terminology preferred
