Job Summary
Provide exceptional customer experience in a retail garden/home decor environment. Greet customers promptly, assist in determining needs and educating customers on selections, contribute to merchandising and operational procedures, maintain merchandise stock levels and presentation, ensure signage is current, stock and rotate products, cross-train across departments, efficiently operate the POS to scan items, accept payments, make change, and bag merchandise, and participate in product knowledge and development activities. Emphasis on teamwork, strong communication, and a proactive approach to customer service and store cleanliness.
Required Qualifications
- Passion for horticulture, yard/home décor, and seasonal merchandise
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work with customers and co-workers
- Team player with integrity and customer-focused mindset
- Ability to operate POS and handle transactions
- Willingness to learn and participate in merchandising/product knowledge sessions
