Job Summary
GUEST SERVICES role in a hotel setting focused on delivering high-quality guest service. Responsibilities include promptly addressing guest complaints and requests, efficient and friendly check-in/check-out, posting guest charges and handling cash, processing payments and providing change, handling mail/messages, promoting and applying knowledge of the Rewards program and promotions, developing knowledge of staff, room locations, rates, amenities, and selling strategies, efficiently taking reservation requests, answering the switchboard with proper telephone etiquette, blocking rooms and handling special requests, monitoring room availability, managing safe deposits, knowing emergency and security procedures, handling wake-up calls, cleaning and maintaining lobby, meeting rooms, laundry areas, and back office as needed, assisting in creating a safe, clean environment, wearing proper uniform, being aware of emergency procedures, practicing safety standards, lifting up to 40 lbs, balancing credit cards and cash during shifts, logging information for management, communicating maintenance needs, handling lost and found inquiries, and supporting marketing efforts with daily tasks.
