Guest Services Department Manager

Job Summary
Lead a team across Guest Services, Pricing, and Cash Office by coaching associates on culture, standards, and performance expectations. Finalize weekly schedules, manage staffing levels, and conduct performance reviews for direct reports while enforcing company policies and documenting violations. Ensure compliance with service, cash control, and operational efficiency standards by monitoring cashier production, assisting guests with orders and special requests, and stepping in at the register. Maintain accurate timekeeping records and uphold safety requirements including proper lifting techniques and equipment operation. Work full-time with one night shift per week and one late night per month, reporting to the Store Director.
Required Qualifications
- High School Education or equivalent combination of education and experience
- At least 3 years of leadership experience, with at least 2 years in a manager role
- Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with guests and all personnel
- Good oral and written communication skills and the ability to lead a diverse crew in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to learn and use technology, including Microsoft Office suite, point-of-sale systems, bookkeeping software and cash management tools, and process information/merchandise through register system
- Thorough understanding of all safety requirements and company safety policies
- Must possess the ability to apply on-the-job safety training to recognize and react to possible safety hazards on store premises
- Proper training and knowledge of proper lifting techniques
- Proper training and knowledge of proper scanning technique
- Proper training and knowledge of trash compactor operation
- Ability to stand in place for long periods of time
- Ability to walk in the store
- Ability to bend, stoop and kneel regularly
- Fine finger and broad manual dexterity
- Eye-hand-foot coordination
- Full range of upper body motion
- Ability to occasionally lift stock up to 50 pounds
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks for prolonged periods of time
- Functional sensory abilities to visually monitor the store
- Ability to create attractive displays
- Ability to operate equipment
- Full-time employment availability
- Availability for weekends, weekdays, and holidays
- Availability for one night shift per week
- Availability for one late night per month
- Ability to work outside checking store property
- Ability to work in walk-in coolers or freezers for short periods of time
- Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule
- Ability to provide adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences
