Job Summary
Greet guests, field comments and complaints to the Resort Manager, and check reservations in and out at the front desk and drive-thru kiosks. Assist with golf cart reservations, explain rental rules, and perform administrative duties including answering phones, responding to emails, copying, faxing, filing, and maintaining resort records. Prepare and distribute communications, ensure office supplies are stocked, and assist with marketing material preparation. This seasonal position runs from now through October with variable weekly hours based on guest occupancy and staffing needs. Intermediate computer proficiency and excellent communication skills are required, with resort office or hotel front desk experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Intermediate computer proficiency, including the ability to use Microsoft Office, email, and the internet
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Readily available and approachable for all guests while providing excellent guest service
- Regularly required to stand, sit or walk for an extended period of time
- Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Variable number of hours scheduled to work during the week based on guest occupancy, season, staffing and other factors
- Island Hospitality uses E-Verify to confirm work authorization in all municipalities where it is required by law
